The mission of the Records Section is to develop, maintain and enhance a comprehensive information system whereby pertinent Departmental records are secure, well-organized and readily accessible to Departmental employees, University officials, members of other criminal justice agencies, and the general public.


The Florida State University Police Department Records Section offers a number of services to the FSU community, to include:

Fingerprinting
Finger printing is available to FSU students, faculty and staff at no cost. No appointment is required; walk-ins are welcomed Tuesday through Friday 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Public Record Request
A police report may be requested through the Records Section via email at tgrissom@fsu.edu by telephone at 850/644-1603 or at our location on 830 West Jefferson Street (a fee may be assessed in accordance with the appropriate Florida statutes).

Notary Public
The FSU Police Records Section provides notary public services during the normal hours of operation are 
9:00 am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
