The Florida State University Communications Center is located just beyond the main entrance of the Police Department in the William Tanner building located at 830 West Jefferson Street. The communication center is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Department currently employs 9 full-time communication operators. All of our operators have received sixteen weeks of training prior to working alone and continuously updated training.
